Intensive School Based Program
The Intensive School Based Program, through partnership with elementary, middle and high schools, is a unique platform that is designed to teach children, adolescents and young adults how to address and cope with their behavioral issues in a manner that allows them to remain in the given school.
San Tan currently has myriad of successful School Based Programs throughout the State of Arizona. Under these Programs, San Tan provides a Masters level Clinician and Behavioral Health Technicians to the participating schools. These staff members effectuate behavior modification in the classrooms as well as group, individual and family counseling to enrolled clients. Staff coordinates treatment plans with students, along with IEPs as appropriate, and acts as a liaison between the school, the behavioral health authority, and the family.
In connection with the regular School Based Program, San Tan offers a Therapeutic Break Program to clients to ensure continuity of care during school breaks. Under the Therapeutic Break Program, San Tan staff members pick clients up at their homes during breaks and take them to daily counseling activities as well as group therapeutic activities. The break program runs Monday - Thursday during all school breaks.
San Tan regularly runs outcome measures on all School Based programs that assess the success of the programs in decreasing student truancy and disciplinary actions, increasing client’s grades and family participation in school activities, and increasing the overall function of each client. These outcome measures can be provided upon request, as well as references from School District officials regarding the efficacy of the programs.
